    Hey, I'm not very good at meeting new people, much less opening up very quickly. But hey, I'm capable of warming up :P

    A friend of mine led me over here, and in my recent search for myself, I thought that perhaps I could learn some things from others, too. Basically, I'm part kitsune and part coyote. My main abilities include illusion, attraction (Of either sex), the ability to read auras and absorb energy. Since I can remember, I have all of these images in my head, and I can't seem to get them down on paper. I'm hoping to figure out the meaning of those, and what they have to do with me, if at all.

    ..... Not very good at introductions Azn;

    Welcome to Kitsuhana Crescelle.

    And by all means, if you feel the need to vomit words onto the screen for some reason start a new thread and do just that. Or do it here. Hopefully we can sort it all out, eh?

    And... yeah, all those abilities are pretty standard here Smiley

    I don't think there's anyone who would turn you away just on the failings of a bad introduction. *glares at everyone else* right?

    As I said in the shoutbox, I want to figure out once and for all what exactly I am, and maybe fit together some of my past as well. I've been doing it all on my own now my entire life, and now that I've found a small, knowledgeable community like this one, maybe I can get some better insights on it.

    Figuring out who you are is a lifelong experience. Sometimes you're only meant to find out certain things in your lifetime.

    Notice I said who you are. What you are only plays a part in who you are as a being.

    The first thing to do you need to do, is to develop your senses. Get to know and feel what things around you mean and where the information you're feeling comes from. This will help you by allowing yourself to tell what's going on.

    The biggest danger most people step into is they never realize what they're seeing is an interpretation of what's going on. Anything you feel or see or realize is most likely transcribed and fitted into your systems so you sense it . In a way, it's translated to fit your design, so you fill in the blanks with your mind and imagination (and for the majority, it's going to be a mess of things they imagined).

    Be very careful of what people tell you. It's an ability that takes years to cultivate and practice and experience to hone in to the point you can really tell what's real and what's imagination or interpretation.

    Along the way you'll find and learn some things about yourself. It's going to be an interesting journey. This is the best way you can find out about yourself. As you progress you'll get hints and signs from yourself about who you are and where you're been. You can also get some help by asking some people to take a look at you and talk to them about what they find. Again, remember what I said. Be very careful of everyone else unless you have a very good reason or feeling to believe in them.

    Also *points above* I didn't see your chatbox message until you brought it up ^^:

    I think you bring up some very intelligent points, especially the part about our own interpretations. I've noticed the same thing myself. I'm not exactly new to this scene (I 'awakened' in sorts when I was four years old, now being nineteen) but I am worried about what things are my own interpretations and what are real. This IS something I have to figure out for myself. The thing I do think the people here can help me with is with finding things like in lore that I didn't know about previously, and can help me in this process. I'm open to ideas, even the silliest of ones, but as always, only I can figure out what I am.

    I guess an analogy that might work is if I were an archaeologist, and I find an ancient pottery fragment, there are clues as to what it's from clear on there, but I would still want to call in other archaeologists and historians to look at those clues. We notice that the blue pigment looks like a known ancient paint made from ground up plants and water, but the nearest body of water is 60 miles away. One person could theorize that there used to be an ancient lake nearby- for that theory to be proven, we'd have to find clues in the area for fossils of creatures and plants that are synonymous with water life. Another person might theorize that the people who lived there could have traded with nearby clans, or that this clan was nomadic in nature. All of those would also require additional clues that only I can keep digging for, getting help from others sometimes who agree to help me on the project.

     Huh?
    Maybe I didin't figure out what I was, but what I became.

Like i've always told myself. "at certain points in time, no answer is a good answer. But when it comes down to making a choice, sometimes you already knew the answer." Again, Welcome and if i may *paws at your ears* okay now i'm done. :p
