*ahem* I do have a question on this topic- if one is a kitsune, but feels no affinity for dragons, would that be abnormal? Or could their kitsune heritage be called into question? Not that I'm accusing anyone, I'm mostly wondering for myself.

    Nope, not at all.

I don't feel strongly toward dragons, but I am not sure what I really am, so I can't prove anything.

If pressed I would say my ideal persona would be based on Killer whale (originally the dolphin until I met some wild killer whales) and the Fox (originally the wolf). There may be some crossover as the archetype of the Killer whale may be similar to the Dragon, as both are normally considered the largest carnivore, and both would be the most fearsome predator in their ranges.

It is almost as if the duality of myself involves the strategic weakness of the fox, that emphasizes brain over brawn, who is balanced by the Killer whale, which would be the polar opposite.

Does anyone have an "animal" pair that is not made of opposites? Or does anyone have an affinity for a single animal only and does not feel this duality?

We have something in common, I am just not sure what that something is.

It's funny, my duality are two pretty similar canines- the kitsune and the coyote. Both are known for being cunning, shape-shifting tricksters. However, the kitsune is Japanese and the Coyote is in Native American lore. However, opposites do attract, and we all have varying amounts of duality in our own psyches. Perhaps those parts of you are one of the more balanced and prominent dualities you have.

eh, there may be many kitsune that feel no connection to Dragons. It isn't completely unlikely, though I've had an affinity for Dragons but am 100% kitsune.

I think we should just treat this like a 'cats and dogs' situation, you hear all the rumors of them not getting along, but more often then not you see them getting along. Also I think its more of the draw of mentality when it comes to foxes and dragons. So Im ganna make a list here.

Foxes love to use riddles and puzzles which is something dragons love to solve.

Foxes love to be mischivous and run around and do crazy and sometimes stupid things, dragons are mostly calm cool and collected, but find interest and humor in things the kitsune's do because its something they dont do.

Dragons mostly like to be solitary and on their own (not all but most), Kitsune's love harrasing those that do that XD (think of harry potter puppet pals with the bother snape thing XD)

Dragons are fiercely protective of their young, and so are kitsune's that and both's young love to play mischievous games XD.

Foxes love shinys, Dragons love shinys, Dragons keep more shiny's then foxes, foxes steal shiny's from dragons XD

sorry that all I can think of now....after that last one I cant stop thinking about it and laughing at it! XD sorry but the image of a kitsune leaping head first into a pile of shiny's while the dragon just stares dumbfounded and confused, and then the fox zip out of that pile and escape with some in its mouth before the dragon realized wtf just happened just wont go away!! XD its like 'dives in' "YOINK!" 'runs' XD
