Where to start... We'll just jump in. Hello, we're new. We say 'we' because we have functional multiplicity. This is similar to dissociative identity disorder, and in some psychiatric circles would be the same thing, except we don't see it as a disorder. There are five entities in our head (we know, our username is misleading... we can explain that if asked). The main entity, the owner of the body, is known as Randiriel, Randi, Jack, or Kyt. She prefers Randi. The second-most prevalent entity is known as Jeremy, Remy, or Perverted-Head-Brother. Following him in the ranks of who speaks most is Adrian. After this is Shift. Finally, there's Beast. But we don't talk about Beast.

Randi and Remy are kitsune. We will go ahead and say it, kyuubi no kitsune desu. Randi and Remy see themselves as nine-tailed kitsune. They are willing to give reasons for this belief, if asked. They see themselves as twins, and are frequently indistinguishable from each other, save for Remy's horrible, horrible dirty mind. Randi is an artist and a crafter, and is training to be a Native American Shaman. Remy is a photographer, taking shots of whatever he can. They both love being on the computer, and love talking to their mates (Michael and Frynge for Randi, Frynge, Ky, Alynna, and Johnny for Remy; They're both polyamorous). Randi is the main personality, and Remy functions as the happy-go-lucky emotional rock.

The next entity is Adrian. Coming about as an offshoot of Shift (to be explained next), we see Adrian as a psyvamp. We can also explain why we see that, if asked. He is very stern, preferring to be serious generally, though he does have a sense of humor. This is because of his role. Adrian functions as our control. When Randi is feeling particularly rotten, Adrian comes forward to take control, and to keep everyone doing what they need to do. Adrian also keeps Beast in check (also to be explained soon).

Shift is difficult to explain. Shift is gender-fluid, and becomes what we need it to be, whether that be a role playing character or a character created by someone else for the purposes of quoting or acting. Shift helps us to get into character. It was Shift letting us get into the character of Adrian for some time that caused Adrian to come about. Perhaps Shift knew we needed control.

Which brings us to Beast. Normally, we'd say we don't talk about Beast, but we may as well. Beast is our rage. Beast doesn't care about others at all, and would rather be destroying. Beast is anger, hatred, vengeance. Beast's list of people to destroy is incredibly easy to get onto, and impossible to get off of. Don't worry, though, keeping Beast in check is Adrian's main job.

On forums, it's easy to tell who's talking. Have a look at our signature. Each name is a different color. Text color will match whoever's talking. Default color is all of us as a general whole.

It is a good theory, but the real reason is far simpler. When we made the screen name, we weren't thinking about Shift as a real entity. This was several months ago. Shift has become more prevalent in our life since we made the screen name, but it's our screen name everywhere, and such a hassle to change.

Also, is there any particular name you'd like to be called as the whole conglomerate? FourPartFox is a bit unwieldy ^^;

We've been considering this for some time, and we're not sure. We've been looking at names that would be good for all of us, and all we've come up with is Multifox, but that's still a bit unwieldy. Let's see what we can find in Japanese.

We found two possibilities. Godai and Itsu. The latter simply means five. The former means the five elements: Water (Randi), Wind (Remy), Earth (Adrian), Aether (Shift), and Fire (Beast). Collectively, then, we will answer to either Itsu or Godai.

This is extremely interesting ^^; hope you don't mind lots of questions in the future, most likely stemming from my total disregard for any sort of tact when I'm curious

For instance, How does such an arrangement work out for all of you? I think a lot of people could say they are made up of many different parts, but most are bound together under one personality. By coming forward to the world as a group, how do you all deal with, in effect, being five minds in one body?

That's probably doesn't even make much sense  sorry if not, I can't think how to phrase it better right now.

Well, I'm a patchwork fox.
Pieces of several patched together in resemblance of a fox, so I can sort of relate.
But I'm still one, even though I can and do change Persona whenever needed.
 
In Zeritij, the word for five is "Leteto".
I am Kira Resari, the Wave Mirror.
 
And yeah, I have a feral part as well that I can unleash. I call it my feloid side. A play of words between daemon and cat. It fits pretty well.
 
In the past I thought I was so many things, but now I realize I'm just one, even though the variety within is great.
