[naberius]

a lot has happened since i was away. i found who i really am, had a deep meaning full relationship with now ex friend and even found my real dad. but along this path a lot has changed. for good and worse. first thing is first. my demon name is naberius. which i found out branches out from cerberus, the guradian to the gates of hades (greek myth). i have claaasified my self as a guardian/ familer due to comparing similarites (taken from yes, a self evaluation, but also from other people.) to me this has been on my mind; is it a mere a coincidence or something more? after all the name naberius is one that i felt truly called to me. on the other hand its not by anymeans  unlikly for it to just be a coincidence. i really did feel this name call me from hundreds of others but that could have just been my imagination. as you guys are more experinced then i (and smarter) please tell me what you think so that i may move on to my next question.

I don't think anyone is truly any smarter than anyone else. More experienced maybe, but not smarter. That's my opinion though, so don't get angry at the stupid fox 

As for what I think, I think you're spot-on and that the only person who can make the choice of whether or not it's right is you. Others may feel differently, but AFAIK you're the only demon(in a strict western sense) here.

I have been where you are before, and while it's important to question the validity of your thinking, it's also important that you don't convince yourself against your feelings. If you feel like going and burning a village for some reason though... I'd advise holding that one in check 

Coincidence can certainly happen, but it's rare in this circumstance. If you looked for it and it was the only one that seemed to call to you, naberius is probably exactly right, coincidence or no.

*gasp!* “he’s back!” yes I know…and I’m very sorry for taking sooooo long to respond but after I saw your reply I did not have time to post one of my own. And soon after things have gotten even more confusing since then! Ill be brief on this next question: as a demon I mostly work on contracts. Meaning that I make a deal with someone (usually mutual) and boom!  Servitude! ….maybe I should be clearer? Well some people know me pretty well and what I do/am capable of. We come together and talk about what we can do to help each other. When we come to an agreement our deal is struck. Our agreement  is not unlike a ‘you scratch my back I scratch your back” sort of thing. And before some of you say anything, yes, it actually does work and happened more often then what you would think.
But I digress, my question to you guys is; as a demon I feel bound to my contract. I feel as though that n no way can I violate it even if they do not uphold there and of the bargain. Is this bad? Is it natural? I have tried many times before to worm my way out of some other poor pacts I made but I can NEVER bring myself to. I ask, why? I know none of you (if not most) are demons but for as long as I have know you guys (the elder members at least) you have all been very knowledgeable and helpful so any advice or opinions you give will be greatly appreciated. Oh and no I will NOT take nearly as long as I did last time to respond. Thanks to all of you.

Well, I know there's this whole thing where kitsune are supposed to pay people back for their help. It's not universal, but if you're going to weasel out of one you don't even do it in the first place. Can lead to such things as being bound to serve someone in exchange for saving the kitsune's life, but usually not that severe.

But yes, if one does adhere to this, one doesn't just weasel out of it, or even try to, though I don't know if that's an honor thing or if it's actually enforced. However, it is permissible to wait however long one likes to return the favor ^^; Of course I could be horribly mangling some piece of kitsune pop culture ^^;

So, I don't know about Western demons. However, I've heard that you CANNOT violate the terms of a contract, though you can use however loose an interpretation of it as you like. You must fulfill your part, but you can be as literal, ironic, or sarcastic as you like, finding loopholes and such. Hope you didn't make any deals with layers ^^;

Lol, don’t worry I would never do that. Lawyers are more of a demon then I am! And thank you! Its much easier to handle annoying contracts knowing I can do that. Although to e truthful, I don’t plan on doing that often. I am known for upholding up bargains and I want to keep it that way.
Another question I have is a bit of a touchy one…..so please don’t get offended anyone! (Heres looking at you fourpartfox.) multiple personas…..is that the same thing as multiple personalities? I ask this mainly because I wish to know if there’s a difference. And also this brings me another question; I often hear something in my noggin when i make or am trying to make decisions. And during mediation. I hear it in a language called enochien (and if any of you remember that then pat your self on the back and let me give you a hug and a cookie for you have remembered something about me! Not many people do that!)
I would like to know…..am I crazy? Is this my inner demon talking? Is this a “persona”? help! And if I am going crazy I would like two thing: 1: let the record show naberius has gone crazy. And 2: remember me…..for what i…once was….! *gasp* wheeze*

It's nothing unusual for spirits to be around, and of course they'd like to talk when they notic that someone could hear them.
