Good and evil exists.. but has nothing to do with light and darkness, in case someone thought so...

Good and evil are meaningless and fallible social norms determined by man. In christian society sexuality is considered evil and yet it is responsible for every human being on earth and every human accomplishment. Here in America many consider capital punishment "good".
Right and wrong are another matter.Right and wrong are based on instinct. Basic principles that support the continuation of the species. Natural law. And things/beings are not right and wrong, only actions are.

I was looking up as I was walking home and just realized how...
huge
everything is, everything but us, we're so small. But yet... I could almost feel it, the spark of life, the thread of fate, a bit of electric sizzle in the stars. I was reminded of death, and thereby of life. I felt
alive
. I think maybe, if I can just feel that for a moment every now and then, anything else that happens to me is O.K.

Well when they talk about sexuality they mean like whoring out and having sex constantly... Not the occasional sex...
As for capital punishment... Well everybody loves violence to a certain extent...

Perfectly agreed... one more disgusting then another. Yeah, for me, evil are things like what the christian society and government and what you said above do.
However, I agree with Reiko good and evil don't really exist. Or in a way they do... as good and evil are groups which everyone puts what they consider in them. There is no such thing as universal good and evil though.
In the universe itsself, everything just is what it is. Helping and carrying for someone belongs to no special category then killing someone or harming someone basically. They are just two things of two different "colors and sizes", none better or worse then the other. Living beings have different opinions of each, and thats what creates "good and evil" for them. Which is neither something fake nor real, just a feeling, or opinion...
And Kentenko, you don't really "go straight to hell" for what you believe. Mainly as 1. Hell doesn't really exist as a place either and "hell" is just the definition of a dark, cold and bloody realm where you usually end up with pain and torture, and 2. To get there, someone has to send you there unless you go willingly... and if someone would send you to hell just for your belief on good and evil, then they are completely cracked.

Fully agreed, and same here. Not even sure the "christian hell" even exists really *nods* If it does like that however... its a funny fate for those who believed in the one who sends people there.

Oh, well, infinity is a big space. I am sure at least three of the infinite number of worlds look just like the hell of any religion of your choice, and then all you need is someone who can transfer people into that world, and you have a loving god.

I can't help but laugh about a small comic thing I found saying "This Was Your Life".
I guess it was to convert people and as an advertisement... but... really after laughing at it's humor... I took it to some Christian guy that is... very very "devote" and asked if it was his.
It wasn't... but yeah.
I think I scared him when I went past just mentioning "spirit foxes" and him starting his mono log again... and told him I actually had
books
on the subject. He's really not a good person to discuss with on such things... he'll either change the subject to his beliefs, or like this last time I think I scared him away. But... just from discussion.

I have read one of these things before. It is more of the same christian scare tactic. However the one I read while growing up focused more on the fact that if you don't "save" your friends they will burn in hell and hate you for all eternity... (I was probably ten at the time and it seemed crazy then)
If you want my simple answer of why a christian hell does not exist, read on.
Facts from a christian point of view:
1. God created humans for the sole purpose of loving God. Thus receiving spiritual energy or whatever it is that God wants the love for. I tend to think of worship energy or love as the ultimate universal currency or power, but that is just my simplified view.
2. If said created being does not love or refuses to love their soul is punished, tortured or separated from God for eternity.
Example:
God makes 10 souls, 5 love him/her/it and 5 do not. He keeps the 5 who love and discards the 5 who do not. (hell or otherwise) Then he makes another ten souls. The process repeats for eternity.
From a worship collection, soul processing or love factory view it makes sense, (harvesting maximum "energy" in the minimum time) but from a loving chistian god view it appears to be a major logic error.
I always thought the best way to get my pet dog, cat, fish or human to love me unconditionally was to threaten its soul with eternal damnation...
If humans and other creatures with souls truly are meant to have free will you cannot threaten their eternal soul if they make the "wrong" decision.
Maybe it is just me, but christianity and most other religions do not use much common sense...

Its not just you matoa... I too agree. Thats why I used to see everyone around me irl as some insignificant robot. The only thing around me is christianity and nothing else. Everyone around me is just one of these christians who don't agree with anything, believe you go to hell for all kinds of things, and the entire set. Human "family", a few friends I may have around irl... there is just no other religion in some countries.
For me... a god who actually creates living beings to serve him/her, using love as an excuse... sorry for any believers that may be here, but its completely detestable. I perfectly agree with serving someone... hell I even dream of serving vixen princesses and beautiful kitsunes in the deepest ways, but not forced by the person you serve.
You serve someone out of love, and out of wanting to. If they ask for something in return, you do it for them cuz you love them, not like in the human system where the "give me the money and I give you the product" way even applies to such feelings.
Of course now, if anyone remembers what I said about good and evil just a few posts ago... me and some of us despite this view of "god slavery", but those who like it are actually correct for theirselves. As long as they are happy with this view of serving god in these ways, let them be.
The only problem comes when they go over others however, a thing for which Christians are known to do. They invented ideas like sex being something evil (which governments seem to have adopted from them), everything that has a non-human form being evil and needing to be crucified (the most miserable one... and actually a main reason why I hated humans and seen them all as something evil in the past)... and yeah, many things. Will stop for now about it
you get what I believe.

Just to clear something up I'm Catholic not christian... And before you say there's no difference apparently there is... But whatever... Anyways whether or not Hell exists people have their different idea of Hell... My Idea is obviously different than everybody else's... I don't feel like sharing my idea anyway...
All that you should know that where you go in death is wherever you believe you should go... If you believe that you should go to heaven you go to heaven... If you believe that you should go to hell you go to hell... Well that's what part of me thinks...

Wait, what? Can you clarify what you mean by that? I honestly have no idea what you're talking about. Christians haven't crucified anyone, nor have they ever condoned the act. Wouldn't make sense for them to, seeing as that's how Jesus died.

Catholics are Christians. No, they're not the same as Protestants, but they still fall under the Christian category.

I was going to say the same thing as Teja, but she beat me to it.
I may not be a Christian, but I used to be, and I don't understand why many people, Christian or not, consider Catholicism a different religion than Christianity when it's really more of a denomination.
