    Hi,  Busy

I've been scanning the forum's threads for the past couple days, and made some observations.

Some claim to have only one tail.
While others claim to have found multiple tails, at first discovery.
It sounds like most haven't gained a lot of tails incrementally, in just this life.
And it sounds like most don't expect a bunch more in this lifetime, either.

    So my questions are:
1)How many tails did you have when you first discovered them, in this life?
2)How many have you gained since the initial discovery, if any?
3)Do you expect to acquire more in this lifetime?
4)Have you lost any tails, in this lifetime? If so, do you know why and could you elaborate?

*I'll post my own answers, shortly. This is just to get the ball rolling.  Wink

When I was first showed, i had one, but it was an old image. When I learned to feel them, they were two. I doubt I'll gain another in this lifetime, I have so much to learn still...

I was looking up as I was walking home and just realized how... huge everything is, everything but us, we're so small. But yet... I could almost feel it, the spark of life, the thread of fate, a bit of electric sizzle in the stars. I was reminded of death, and thereby of life. I felt alive. I think maybe, if I can just feel that for a moment every now and then, anything else that happens to me is O.K.

i.) I had three tails when I first noticed them (age 19), but I believe acquisition of the second occurred in childhood, and that I was born with only one in this life.

ii.) I've had up to five tails, in my peak.
But I've acquired tails at six different times since the initial three were discovered.
It'll make a little more sense if you keep reading through the fourth section.

iii.) I expect to acquire my ninth tail in my 50th year of life.
I've already predicted the age I would acquire my first '5th', 7th, and 9th tails.
Various 'indicators' have presaged a tail's arrival, for me in the past.
And at the moment I am expecting my new '5th tail'.
-(Some time in the next few months.)

iv.) I lost all my tails with the 'soul' they were attached to.
Then I got a new one and had to start over again.
(The little bugger's fast though.) :D

         For Further Details Go Here.
The story required a thread of its own.
And I wanted to keep this thread from being derailed.
I'm interested to hear about other people's experiences, as they relate to the subject.

One, but the 'energy' of the second one was already there.

Counting only real tails, then one, as I now have two.

I don't know, I hope to acquire at least a few more, but I doubt I will. If I never get any more, fine as well, two is enough.

I thought I had two or three, then later I realized it was most likely a mental hallucination. I frequently feel something that could be described as a tail, but I have no frame of reference to confirm it, and from what it feels like, there would be only one.

    None.

Not even sure if I have one, much less the knowledge or understanding to know if I could get more.

If you count my initial over estimation I lost one or two.

One more, maybe. Sometimes I think I'm in the process of growing it or earning it or whatever.

I originally saw myself with 5 tails.  This is before I even knew what a kitsune was.  I just thought I was a five tailed fox back then, and then someone pointed me at the concept of a 'kitsune'.  Mind you this was back in the late 90's ('96-'98) before they got represented much in the media (they still aren't, but in those days you could still be in the 'furry circles' and not know what a kitsune is)..

I was not the first to see my own 6th tail.  I dont know when it occured.  Sometime around 2006 I think.  I was getting a number of commissions at that time, and despite asking for 5 tails to be drawn on the pictures, two came back with 6 tails.  I asked why of both artists and they said that's just the picture they had in their mind of me.  I went back into meditative self-examination and came out of it knowing that they simply just saw it before me.  I had not had to 'look at myself' for a while.  I don't know what the catalyst to me growing a 6th tail was.  Even to this day.

I still have 6 tails.  I don't have any reason to believe I'll get another one in this lifetime.

How odd for me to take a real approach for this one, but this is it.
Wasn't born with a tail, didin'nt earn one, but expect to do so sometime.
     fox_okay
Of course the mirror side would be the spiritual one.
There I wasn't born with one, but granted one which I lost due tu a stupid bet and only regained much later. Don't ever bet your tail on something.
     fox_thoughtful

     Huh?
    PS:
Okay, thanks to Evans nagging I'm adding something here.
I don't know what tails stands for, because it's neither physical nor spiritual extensions of the spine, but the correct answer would be seven, and maybe eight to go. Sheesh. Happy now?

I had three in my past life, entirely white with light blue tail tips. I do not expect to gain anymore tails in this lifetime unless I live 100 years or are bestowed one by Inari-Sama.

    THis is worth a bump.

1.) I thought six; I was leading myself on to believe it because less didn't make sense.  It's more of what I suppose my potential is in retrospect.  I pick up on things quickly; this doesn't mean that I'm an oldsoul, simply that I'm gifted.

    tl;dr 3.  I now believe 3.

2.) None.  I also no longer believe that I'm a half-year older than I was.  My current belief is that, when my body was in uteru, I was spiritually not there, but... I have no fucking clue but I suppose "someone's heaven" is a good place to start.  Newbies won't understand that, but those who know me and boned up on their shit will.

3.) No.  I'm too young.  To be two decades old IN TOTAL and have more than three tails would be more unwarranted than simply having three already is, and I feel like I couldn't process that much energy at all let alone show that I have it.  It would be irresponsible for me to try.

4.) No, and if people here think they have actually lost tails, I don't wish to associate with them; tails can only be "revoked" as it were by doing unspeakable things *nogitsune* or pissing off the God/s you work for * myobu/what have you *.
