How does your tails react to particular emotions? As in, if you're particularly angry or mellow, how do they react?

My boyfriend's tails are normally free flowing and tend to have a mind of their own, but when he's anxious or mad he says they become rigid and flare out.  I was just wondering if this was a common thing with other kitsune, or if it all depends on the individual.

My tail will frizz out when I'm stressed or startled. It's kinda annoying really, because it tingles uncomfortably for a while afterward.

If I become annoyed, it will raise up and start waving around slowly. If I get angry, it drops and becomes still.

It does other things sometimes, but I pretty much have full control of it.

I think it's just the same as with all other limbs.. I don't feel tails when there's nothing happening, but like any other limb, it'll react shockingly when there's a lot of adrenaline in my body.  :P

I would say the sensation of "sharp twitching" is apparent when I'm either dreaming or meditating while angry or annoyed. Aside from negative emotions, I notice no major differences worth mentioning in regards to emotions.

     Huh?
Mya, I imagine my tail as it would be pretty much whenever it crosses my mind. Like a light streak of energy. And then it's mine. Just like the rest of my body, it helps me perform actions. Mostly actions where I have to improvise in real life, like stretching out a leg in place of a tail for balance when I have to lean real far forward.

Hmm... Even though I know they aren't physically there I find myself thinking along the same lines as kira describes, particularly the balance bit when I move. A bit irrational, but ah well.

When I'm on edge I often notice them moving back and forth slowly and sort of emanating whatever it is I'm feeling. Like a pair of poofy emotional radiators. Otherwise I don't really focus on them too much unless I'm using them for something- I'd rather keep my tails hidden.

I was looking up as I was walking home and just realized how... huge everything is, everything but us, we're so small. But yet... I could almost feel it, the spark of life, the thread of fate, a bit of electric sizzle in the stars. I was reminded of death, and thereby of life. I felt alive. I think maybe, if I can just feel that for a moment every now and then, anything else that happens to me is O.K.

     Hyper
Heh, not to forget that sometimes I wake up and think something's odd, until I realize that I don't have a tail in this morph. That feels just wrong, for I know it should be there.

    *strokes his muzzle slyly.*

Does not everyone have reactions of their tails? Maybe they are not always felt, but they can always be 'sensed'.

Look longer and deeper. They're always there. Trust me.
