Actually I meant it that way to an extent. Too much of it is bad and unhealthy but if it's the same damn thing every day without any turmoil for months on end I start to get even more depressed.
Understood. Yeah, monotony is just as bad. I guess, for me at least, constant or at least occasional changes in life are needed, whether that change comes through conflict or simply from a re-examination of life. Otherwise life can get stale and one can start getting on self-destructive tendencies.
And in Tamamo-san's case, I do agree that more details are necessary to judge anything, particularly someone's character. We are not one-dimensional creatures of good or evil, despite what Noh dramas and folk literature tell you. I wonder where exactly people are getting all of their info that they judge her on, how they know what her character is and what she spends her time doing. I know she ran around Asia for a while, had some fun, some people died for better and worse, and regrettably (in my opinion) a lot of conflict was caused as a result and for that reason, people have made unnecessary judgments on her and others.
