Hello! If any of the above are passing, please stop in and say hi!

I am a therian / lycanthrope, unsure which yet, phenotype wolf.
I want so much to talk to someone of my own kindred, and to share experiences, from shifting to coping with the more mundane.

Please reply!

I consider myself to be a therian, even though I call myself a kitsune and many will argue if a kitsune is therian or not.

I have many foxlike tendencies (from barking and yipping at things to wanting to dig under the house and even the urge and sometimes act of eating raw eggs) .. and many different dreams along side of it ..

i'll post more about this tomorrow but here's me.

Interesting!
Have you ever experienced anything like a shift? As in, feeling foxy rather than kitsuney. (if their is a difference, please excuse my ignorance!)

I would not know what the difference is.  To me a kitsune is nothing more than a fox spirit, that is older and more developed than a younger fox.

Some people say there is a difference, but I myself have not had those experiences.  Far as i'm concerned i'm just an old fox with alot of experience ..

I've experienced a number of mental shifts, and the sensation of phantom limbs (especially tails) is present almost constantly...  I was pretty sleepy last night and ended up cutting my post about this short.

Okie.

I find I have ears constantly, that move with mood and noises without me purposefully moving them. I have to purposely move tail, or change feet/hands to paws. I also seem to have a dream block. Not just not dreamshifting, but no dreams at all. Its annoying as hell...  >.<

I suppose it's time for me to work my magic.

I'll try what I can fit what I can into 15 minutes.

So, um, if you forgot, I'm what I'd like to call a "foxperson". A slang term for fox therian; as "wolfperson" would be the respected, etc. so on and so forth.
So, with that being said, I share the feelings somewhat of Alynna-san. The need to dig for/or to find a burrow of sorts, oh, and the egg thing. XD That one surprised me. I didn't think someone would actually feel that way about the eggs. XD Really, it's just a cheap food, isn't it? You could just grab, run (whilst being careful) and when safe, just chomp and lick up what you miss. ^_^;; But otherwise, that's all it is: Lore. Kitsune itself is just the Japanese word for fox. I suppose it's sorta like certain english words meaning one thing, but can be understood as alot of things.
Me confused now though, so I'll move to something I'm certainly more familiar with: Dreams.

I just posted on my own forum for the poll about how much you dream in a week, and if it applied to certain individuals, how much did you dream shift.
I answered my own poll as I dream 4 - 5 times a week, and 70% of them, I dream shift in, even if the dream itself is a completely garbled mess and I can't figure anything out. I just know i did, because I remember some vague part of it.
Some, however, are all too clear. Unfortunately, I get killed alot in my dreams. I couldn't count on my fingers how many times I've been "slaughtered", from being shot, to being ran over by a 18-wheeler. Azn'

So, how was ur day? O.o

Now, for my final minutes...

I'll speak about shifting that happens during the day. I have the average "m-shifts" (if I didn't.... well... Yeah I think that's mandatory), but I also have the phantom shifts as well.

I have ears all the time. I think, in result of such.... I can actually move my human ears. I think it's because of unnaturally wanting to move those areas where the animal ears would be, for all my life. It's strengthened the area lots, and I can move those areas quite well now... Voluntarily and involuntarily. Only because I know I can move them. Thankfully, the actual ear part doesn't move all that much; so people usually don't notice.
They move with my expression, and the sounds I recieve, just like Lieka.

I growl alot, too... I also make this one other noise that I can't place my finger on. I'm not a very vocal person human-wise, but I assume this noise is some sort of a bark/yip itself.

And my time is up. See You Next Game.

I wanted to mention my belief too about the difference between a fox and a kitsune. I'm not sure if this is just something I have made up out of reflex and ideas or if it is what I know. But in my belief, the difference between a fox and a kitsune is a big one. Also, it is exactly what I believe the difference between a therian and a otherkin is.

A fox would normally be a lot like a fox in this life. He/she would normally only know to quad-walk, cannot grab objects or similar things, but can likely talk, smile and do some other things (astrally talking of course). A kitsune is a anthro fox (exactly like in furry artwork [just mentioning that as an example as it's the best]), which also has magical powers and knows how to use energy very easily. A kitsune, despite a normal fox, can bi-walk and quad-walk too, can dress up, use objects and do everything we can do here under these forms, and are very likely much more wiser too. But, I do sometimes believe that it could actually be true that both fox and kitsune can do these things, except the magic/energy part that only kitsune can.

This is just my belief till now. I would really like to hear what everyone thinks of it and what your own belief on the difference is. What I know now can very likely be wrong, and just how I developed my idea of it over time, but I would love to know more.

As for shifting, I cannot feel anything. If someone could teach me how I can start really feeling my true fox tails and ears every time, not just when I try to and build them up out of my consciousness, I would be really grateful.

When I found my wolf side, I found I could move my human ears as well. I have to admit, however, that I have never had a thing for eggs. Is that a particular trait of fox? Its nice to see another therian in this place anyhow.

I disagree, Taoki. Not all kitsune are "anthro foxes". Some of them may indulge themselves a little too much in such ways, trying to be human more than kitsune. Others, such as myself, prefer to be a quadruped, which feels much more proper and less . . . beneath.
But that's all I wanted to say. Not all kitsune are like anthro foxes, as Taoki thinks.

Sorry, I think I missed this part when I wrote that; Yes, very true, not all are, because some kitsunes take the form of feral foxes very much, and most have it as their default form. I am mostly used to the idea of anthro because that's how I am as a kitsune myself, but the term can be different for everyone.

But indeed, kitsunes are shapeshifters like everyone knows, so we take many forms. Mainly, anthro can just mean having a feral form and bi-walking wearing clothes and playing with stuff. My form has very few differences from a feral fox one, but since I can do these things, yeah, I call that anthro. Sorry for missing that the first time I wrote.

As far as I know (heh), they are scavanger-like creatures that will eat an array of things, and eggs are one of them. Easy to snatch up. That's sorta what I meant by it being a "cheap" food. There's not really any hassles to it compared to the other sources that you might have to hunt and, uh, kill.

Those other sources are alot appealing sometimes though.... and how hungry you are. ^_^;

I've never heard of this thing for eggs, I suppose it makes sense for kitsunes, foxes stealing chicken eggs and such. I dunno about eating eggs, but I always wanted to hatch one xD haha maybe I'm really a bird...  o.o

Same with my entire right side, muscles, ears, canines, etc. My left side is still pretty enhanced.

lol, I suppose the egg thing is sorta minor, I guess. But who knows, it may be something more.  o.o

No, just no. Enhanced sense means suffering too, especially from poor and regular food. Though I do love eggs. They fit it nicely in my diet, and I love a runny yolk.

Something else I have is that my eyes change colour a lot, and not just in the light, as in physicly.
Since the beggining of this year I have had:
Blue
Blue/Grey
Grey
Grey with a thick Black line round the outside
Grey, Thick Black line, Deep Amber line round the pupil
Grey/Green, Black line, Amber line
Green/Blue, Black line, faint Amber line.
Does anyone else have this or is it just me? Sorry for wasting your time if its just me :)

No, it's not just you, I've heard about many other cases like this often. Never happened in my case and I don't know more sadly, but yeah, it's not just you.
