Wow, that must have been gold... As for me, I don't need to walk digitrade... My energy gets that shape... However, when I walk in digitrade, I can walk faster without getting tired...

I once shifted on a strong full moon night and went all dizzy and fell over. When I got up I had forgotten I had heels, and walked digitrade like it was the most natrual thing in the world. I also had curled my fingers into paws, and moved nose first, scenting the air. My mind was perfectly human, but somehow failed to notice my body was trying not to be! It took a sudden remark along the lines of: 'What on
earth
are you doing?!' about a minuite later to bring me back to earth with a bump!
Is that something like you're talking about?
What happened with me is that I was walking normal in the hall way... and then suddenly I stopped walking and stood there because I honestly couldn't remember the next... step...
I sort of limped over to a railing one of those times... another time I was close enough to a wall and with a friend that I just leaned on it until the feeling had passed. I think I had to stand there and just... conciously and fully aware make my leg go forward and then after I took a step or two I got back on track, like nothing had happened.

Huh.
I've always tried to dream-shift. No luck yet.
I do, however, shift somewhat when I'm in the woods, usually after closing my eyes and looking at myself as my animal. If I'm not careful, I usually open them to find myself running on all fours. XD I have controlled that a bit now.
The moon? Yep. It used to face my window but now it's in the back of the house. When it does appear, I usually howl. A good tool for shifting IMO.
...That's my 2 cents.

I might be a fox. I might not. The important thing is I'm on my way to discovery. And no human can understand that.

I've tried to take walks on Sundays in the wee hours of the morning on full moon nights...
Honestly though... even though I can see perfectly well, I get the feeling and fear that someone is going to come after me or something, so I'm constantly on the look out until I like go out on this dock that goes to the middle of the lake... I relax... but then ultimately I feel like just getting back to my car.
I really wish I could just relax and take a nightly walk... I'm sure it would put my mind at ease at times... but until I can get a chance to try so it doesn't work. Too nervous of someone jumping me.

I might want to point out that this probably has to do with ergonomics more than anything. Walking like that balances your weight over more joints, hence lessening the load on each one. It's more efficient, so you can do more using less energy. Human anatomy is flawed, go figure.
Salem- I lmao'd at that pic. You'd think this was Fark.

. I think maybe, if I can just feel that for a moment every now and then, anything else that happens to me is O.K.

Hmm... well that's debatable, it certainly is easier to go fast on all fours. Humans originated in a relatively warm climate (we don't have fur...) and having the bulk of your body away from the ground helps to keep one cool or warm (away from snow/ice), it's good for regulating body temperature. The method of locomotion is equivalent to an upside down pendulum and is actually quite efficient. I've even heard of some Africans that have out walked gazelle and other 4 legged animals until the animal collapses from exhaustion from trying to get away.
Anyways...
As far as feeling "Foxy", I do yip and growl, usually in surprise or frustration or randomly if I feel like it. I love eggs and I could eat oriental food until I die. I love the stuff, I would be a fat Asian if I lived there xD
I feel a great connection to the moon, it makes me feel better to see it, and the brilliance when it is full can be emotional, we have a good foot of snow on the ground and I usually arrive from work at night, and I can see it glimmer off the snow... it's amazingly beautiful. I've felt the urge to howl at it, usually, I just let out a content growl/grunt. It makes me want to run around on all fours and romp around.
In meditation, I can feel "Foxish", I've had luck seeing my Kitsune self and feeling a tail. I can do the basic energy stuff, I can move energy around my body pretty easily, I did it when I was younger before I knew stuff like that had a name.
I happen to be very sensitive to scents, womens perfume drives me nuts... I can't stand the stuff... I can smell which clothes are mine and which aren't, as well as tell what is female and what is male. xD
I'm sure I'm missing something, but that's all I can think of at the moment.

*gives you an entire sack of cookies for that one* Just agreed
In my view, human bodies look ugly, un-cute, skinny instead of being soft and fluffy, don't have features such as tails and pointy ears, are useless when it comes to resistance or anything of the type...
Also, apparently, most creatures who have a human body (excepting kins) seem to do very evil things to the world and all living beings from time to time *shrugs*
The only times I would use a human form in RP or in realms I make and hang out in is when I'm being a servant/slave to a furry, as for some reason I seem to like it better being shifted to a human form when I imagine other cute creatures using me for that and doing some other stuff to me too *nods and hides her muzzle ^^

You know, I would say something here, but then again, it's not too different from me finding a good deal of anime characters to be more attractive than the majority of people that are in this world/"real". (take your pick) Except in my case, for the most part they've all been human. I know in both cases (anime and furry) there's a good deal of idealization going on in character design (especially to emphasize certain traits), but then again, mass media tends to put a ton of attention on the "idealness" of celebrities (who to me don't look much different than anybody else).

It takes all kinds to make a world. The bad things done by people seem to overshadow the good, and I doubt things like enviromentalist and animal rights groups are made up entirely of 'kin - I definitely wouldn't doubt there's some in there - but for the most part in those groups it seems to be mostly humans trying to protect the natural world.
And while it does seem like most 'kin care about the natural world and other beings more than the average human, an exception to the rule can and probably does exist, and probably more than one of them (let's just hope said theoretical exception does not commit a horrible crime and get us portrayed in mass media in a negative light). Although, I'm not really talking about an "evil" kin here...more like a person with a non-human soul who falls under your example of a stereotypical human.

What I post may only be what I believe at the time. Little on this topic I can say that I actually know. However, I will try to sound decently intelligent and to not pull stuff out of thin air. Do you care? Probably not, but sometimes I like disclaiming myself, even if it's unneccessary. I also like to ramble on about things a lot.

Yeah I've been mean in that last post again *nods* Humans are just a kin like any other, though indeed they do too many bad things when they have the power to easily do nice things and create a calm and peaceful world, which is a reason I dislike them for how they throw it all away, but mainly the way their system/"society" doesn't allow any living being which possesses a human body to live in peace, except extremely rare cases. That alongside some other personal reasons I have.
