who one follows doesn't really matter what matters is that they believe in there knowledge of the truth.  Each person has to find there own way to enlightenment.  The search for leaning every thing we can is at the core of all even if they don't realize it.  Some believe others hold the answer, some themselves, and some a god or goddess what ever you turn to for truth matters not as long as you seek it.  and never give up seeking it. So Does it really matter for ones loyalty in this life? fox_thoughtful

This is the most true thing I have seen posted here in days now. Spectra is 100% correct on what she said.

Perfectly agreed as well. I can see Spectra had a long existence as a spirit and is very wise from what she says :D

Although I do agree with this topic, I don't agree with this:
I can see Spectra had a long existence as a spirit
I don't think a single post can really determine something like that.

I've known Spectra for a while now which is why I said that, not only this post. I probably didn't write that as I should have so sorry.

I know Taoki and Spectra for a short time, but I am certain that Spectra is possible origin, and Taoki is experienced.

Um... what exactly is this thread about?

I was looking up as I was walking home and just realized how... huge everything is, everything but us, we're so small. But yet... I could almost feel it, the spark of life, the thread of fate, a bit of electric sizzle in the stars. I was reminded of death, and thereby of life. I felt alive. I think maybe, if I can just feel that for a moment every now and then, anything else that happens to me is O.K.

You're right that we're getting off the topic, I think it was about our beliefs, but It seems I had been not serious enough.

Um... what exactly is this thread about?

How many kettles of fish it takes to call the plot black of course! You could shoot a monkey in a barrel, but I would rather toast those who know what side their bread is buttered on.

And since actions speak louder than words, I thought I might dance to the beat of a different drum and agree with the premise of this topic. I'm more nervous than a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs, so I will leave it up to another to be the fox guarding the henhouse.

Note to all non English speakers. Don't try to translate it, it will make your brain hurt.

I say it matters only because the people you know are what's important in any life, and the people you run with spiritually can have an effect on the life you live metaphysically AND physically.  The people you look up to and are loyal to are who you make decisions thinking about, and who you can call on (more often than not) when you're in need.

True that is why you choose those you trust carefully.  You always need to be aware of there beliefs but in the long run it really doesn't matter what ones body believes in any particular life but that they grow spiritually.

     *nods.* Epically stated.

Does it matter -what- you have loyalty to? No. Does it matter that you -DO- have loyalty? Yes.

Beyond that, all has already been said. It's both personal, and social.

     However, one piece of advice.:

You may never be able to explain yourself to others. However, others come to know who you are by seeing your actions. They will know who you are for what you do. This is how others come to know you.

Take both care and pride in showing your heart to others through what you do. Others will see you and follow your example, budding flowers reaching for the sun, or try to crush the flower of your delicate heart. Either way, stand, and stand strongly with Makoto.

It reminds me of Sailor Moon.

One of the most basic prinicpals of Shinto is 'Makoto'. It's 'True Sincerity'. Very much like saying 'Do unto others what you would have them do unto you. Except, it's more along the lines of 'Treat others as they should be treated'. It's a little more darkly themed, as it can go both ways. Fortunately, as it is neither light nor dark, Sincerity is neutral, but as long as you are sincere in all things you do, you have every right to be how and who you are.
