Well, there are other anime/manga in which the kitsune are mentioned.

1st: xxxHolic
Watanuki Kimihiro (the main character), in a certain episode, finds a Kitsune Oden and guess what else he found out? A kitsune ran it not only that, but he also gave that kitsune's son a gift: the tail of a exorcism arrow. The exorcism arrow's tail was a powerfull charm to repel evil spirits and the kitsune kit had interest on it. And, as Watanuki didn't want it, he simple gifted it. Later the kitsune returns the gift as a free oden or even helping him in the hundred ghosts parade.

2nd: Kanokon
I think the kitsune here is Chizuru. She's a lustfull kitsune that always gets the main character (whose name I can't remember) in trouble, by making people think he's a pervert. The thing is that she loves him so much that she doesn't bother showing her love for him in public, by hugging him and keeping his head in her chest. When they get to fight an enemy, they kiss on the lips and she possesses his body, allowing him to summon a fireball shapped like a huge fox (and VERY explosive). But, when she possess his body, her clothes are left behind and, as she leaves his body, she's naked! O_O

3rd: Inukami!
Even though the name suggest Dog Deity, the Inukami Trainer, Kawahira Keita, finds himself with an Inukami named Youko. However, Youko wasn't exactly an Inukami... She was a Kitsune that wanted to be Keita's Inukami, since the very day he was a little boy that treated her wounds and shared chocolate cake with her (her favorite food! XD). She's all naughty over him, but hates his habits of trying to hit on other human girls, on female Inukami and when he reads or watch perverted stuff. As a punishment, she teleports him with the use of the spell "Shukuchi" to the middle of the street, but she doesn't teleports his clothes with him! So, he gets arrested and is often know as "Raou", "Naked King".

Hmmm, how about we talk about how well we think the anime/manga portray kitsune.   I can mention a few more.

Fox Legend: A Chinese movie that I liked a lot based around foxes of course.

FUCK naruto.  End of story.  It butchers the portrayal of us, and also steals a large amount of the 13-element system and various elements of shinto in the form of the villages and movesets, picking and choosing with how much of the original they actually want to portray.

Naruto isnt even a kitsune, more like a hu-ling.

or here's a thought, its a freaking cartoon it doesn't have to be accurate or relate to anything. Drawing correlations where there aren't any will lead you into a loop the shape of Kevin Bacon's head.

Read the manga Amatsuki.

The first time i have cried reading manga in awhile...

I sympathised entirely with that kitsune spirit, and i could have seen myself being them QUITE easily.

A kitsune spirit is looked after by a tree spirit.

The tree is cut down.

The kitsune goes on a vengeful rampage after making a pact with an 'evil' spirit...

She dies slowly and painfully, but is saved, then dissapears with a statue of inari in her mouth...<3
you last see her asleep on her masters old tree stump.

i dont think many would.

I do. I have that same relationship with a dragon.

If a human was to sever that relationship, i would probably snap and be the worst thing this world has ever seen.

What unspeakable darkness grips my heart, nobody wishes to learn. Should they steal him away from me...the world will feel my pain.

I do understand that darling. Hope no one will ever cause anything bad to happen to you two... loosing someone you care for like that is certainly not nice and shouldn't ever happen, especially since kitsune feel such things much more deeply.

I know a Kitsune anime I was just introduced to it's called Wagaya No Oinari Sama. It is good acualy I just saw the first episode. And plan to try and watch more.
