I have decided to change the forum software to Simple Machines. Why? Because installing the ReCAPTCHA plugin for PHPbb3 was becoming too much of a headache for me. I don't know if it was because I was doing something wrong, or if there were bugs in the script that made it just not work. So, I figured it was time to just switch to SMF. Installing ReCAPTCHA on here was very easy. All I had to do was upload the mod package, and enter in a couple values.

The only issue I've noticed so far with the software change and database conversion, is that you may need to reset your passwords. This is possibly due to the difference in how SMF handles passwords. Other than that, we still have all our posts (as of November 19, 2008).

Changing a forum format, even removing posts, doesn't change the way people will ask.  Therefore, I'm still going to meet all negativity with sarcasm and offensiveness, since that's obviously all I used to do anyway.

A little bit of a shock logging on tonight, seems things have gone a bit topsy-turvy.

However it seems to have worked out, so a big thanks to Samui for maintaining and fixing the forum when it was down. Also it is nice to hear from you again Samui, I hope you decide to visit more often than every system crash.
