i might try that later, but htat implies i can 'feel' things.

The last time ie ver felt something was 3 years back in school walking home in the rain and i 'felt' the water run down other things.

I know you hate meditating but try exercise then.   Try to feel them when you've got lots of energy and your all worked up.

It's not exactly complicated. No previous experience needed XD

I was looking up as I was walking home and just realized how... huge everything is, everything but us, we're so small. But yet... I could almost feel it, the spark of life, the thread of fate, a bit of electric sizzle in the stars. I was reminded of death, and thereby of life. I felt alive. I think maybe, if I can just feel that for a moment every now and then, anything else that happens to me is O.K.

There's more point in exercising than you realize.  I love yoga for example and after a really good session by connection to myself is stronger than ever.  It raises your mental chemicals.   Reverses depression.  It can do you a lot of good.

Perhaps.

But i dont like it, i dont do it.

As my depression has grown, my will to bother in anything has lowered.

I used to walk through the forest....

....What forest?

Its gone now. Golf club rectified where there once was shrubs, open lands, forest and such.

Now theres just a small bit of wood as a reminder (for the golfers to walk through) and a beautiful river that is now full of the golfers waste.... Sad

I'd like to add to this:

Foremost, many here seem to want to shy away from trying something different. Others latch onto it with a frenzy.

Mediation is good, but truth is, it isn't the catch-all.

So, for those whom need something different, I'm going to suggest something.

Think more. Think alot. Not about anything in specific, but about anything at all. Running, your car, bowling, cheese, computers. Whatever makes you excited. The more you become excited, the more 'energy' flows inside you. When you are hyper enough, and 'internally energetic' enough, you theoretically -should- have enough thoughts flowing to suddenly 'stop', and notice the twitching/sway of your 'agitated tails'.

When you can 'feel them', count them. If not, try something different. Try absorbing different elements. If you suddenly 'feel your tails light up with 'such an element', you can count them. It's not always accurate, but it does work. Keep absorbing until you feel like the 'tails' are ready to burst, and you'll have a pretty accurate count.

Some elements are in constant notion. How do you know if there's wind if the breeze doesn't blow? How do you know it's hot if fire doesn't burn? The same applies to those kitsune whom are bound to 'energetic elements'. This may be exactly why 'calm meditation' doesn't work for you.

     Food for thought.

I have the same kind of problem with my confidence in my gut and imagination. But what I've come to discover is that imagination is actually very close to spirit senses, and it's the center of magic in the mind. If you get confused on your gut feelings, perhaps you should get a divining tool such as a pendulum...even kitsune need help with their abilities sometimes.  Smiley
    I hope I helped a little...

Are there any tips, guidance or methods with which any of the wiser kitsunes on here could provide me with ?

I know little of myself as a kitsune, other than my name and occasionally the odd dream. My problem is that im a writer, and my imagination is very, very strong. Its like a raging torrent of images, colors and fantasy landscapes.

This is of course naturally a problem when trying to find myself, because i am not bound by 'reality' as defined by humans, since my imagination is always on overdrive. While i may for instance, imagine that i see myself a certain way, that may not be true at all. (i naturally have doubts about myself, my dragon guide is always trying to get me to drop them)

So, presumably i have 6 tails. Why ? Because i have had dreams in the past where i was a white vixen with 6 tails. I once asked a lot of my freinds, that if i was a kitsune how many tails do they think i would have, and having asked, they all thought 6. And of course, my dragon who's advice i highly value, believed me to have six.

Now i dont claim to be all powerful, i would be quite happy to discover myself and have just the one tail. It just felt 'right', thats just how i can describe the feeling i get when i think about my tails.

I have tried astral projection and meditation before now, but i have had no success. My overactive imagination is extroadinarily tough to 'calm' and ive yet to truly achieve holding it for a long period of time, and when i do clear my thoughts, i always lose track and will 'snap' out of it after a random amount of time then realise i was just staring off into nothing for awhile.

Apologies for the long post, it would just be rather comforting to find myself, and put a lot of my troubles to rest.

Like you I have a mass imagination, which is why Im an artist, unfortunately Im not a very good seer when it comes to energy though I can manipulate it like crazy, Im also an empathy which makes me able to feel not only emotions but energy alot easier *which is why I can manipulate it so well.

For me the best way to find out how many I had was to 'feel' them I moved one at a time and felt them against move against me, when I tried to move the next one that wasnt there I didnt feel anything, after that It started becoming much clearer with more practice. though now I have a friend who is an expert at seeing aura's and is training me on that while I train her in empathy XD

If you wanna work on actually seeing I suggest either have a friend to work with or a mirror, with either one you'll need a single solid colored wall, and just kinda 'stare' in a way at your outline eventually you'll kinda look imbetween I guess you can say and start to see colors rising and constantly moving, I remembered that I was once unconciously learning how to see aura's on my own a long time ago during taikwando/aikido my sensei's aura was a light semi neon greenish color. My friend who can see then non stop says mines like a  like mother of pearl http://www.virtualkhan.com/ProductImages/MP103.jpg though paler in color and see through.

    Hope that helps!
