I found the Korean lore by looking up Korean fox spirits or typing in Komhio (I think thats the spelling).  And those lores make foxes out to be pure evil.

*shrugs* There's stories of evil angels, good demons, malicious fairies, protective werewolves, etc. No surprise there.

lol true you have a point there. As I always say there is good and bad in every species every race. Of course people make that into a story to.

The badder the better. People, places or things, if it's nasty as all hell, people want to hear about it.

Well, here's the thing. They're stories. Generally, they're not going to be believed, especially something that isn't "provable" by science ^^;

Oh I'm just talking about the general public, at least in North America.

ya here there are not too many who know about Kitsune or Japan and Asian lore. Most are too caught up with other things.

Personally, I don't care one way or the other about Inari.  I do hold affinity for her, but I can't see myself serving her or anyone else.  I guess that makes me a nogitsune myself, neh?

I don't wish ill upon others, but my servings are to the earth, and to the goodness of all other creatures on it or not.  I hold affinity for all the varieties of daemons, gods and goddesses, and other spirit folk, but if someone tells me to go against my beliefs, or if it feels funny, then I wont listen.

But that is me.  -.-

Now that I live in a big city, I'd DEFINITELY be noticed right away.  -.-;

And why post in a thread about Inari-sama just to say you don't follow her?  <.<;;;

Because this thread is about our ideas and thoughts in regards to her?

Because I don't?  A couple times I have, but I realized I wasn't quite cut out for what she had in mind as a messenger.  I'm too wild for peacekeeping or message bringing.

I will follow her word if she ever calls me for help, but personally, I don't follow her.

On thread...

I've also heard that she has a scythe which she rarely uses, because it has the ability to kill rice before its harvested.  I that true?  Anyone else heard that?

Off the top of my head there is a mention in that with the Dakini/Inari-mix representations. I'll get the actual detail down here later after work.
