Looks liked you ripped the models from the original Second life and used lesser textures on the stuff.

Not the models, I manually remade them on my sim. I'm not so good with making my own avatars so I had to use the avatar I bought and use on LL grid for inspiration. Hope the author wouldn't mind since I remade everything by myself so I only used the idea / look of that avatar, nothing the person made.

I meant the builds in Kitsuhana, not the avatars.

Ah no I didn't copy them either, I manually made everything over screenshots. I don't know how to copy / extract primitive arrangements or objects from the LL grid though I do wish I knew. And surely wouldn't have known by the time the original shrine was deleted.

Finally returned home. I'm back again so the sim is once again up and running and updated to the latest revision. Everyone can log in and go in-world again :)

Been a while since anything went on here again. Sim's been still dead though I always kept it up and running as best as I could. Anyway a few things have changed since my last update, so these should be the newest things of interest to Opensim Kitsuhana:

- Buying from a primitive has finally been implemented! You can now go to the Bazaar, right-click a store and select Buy from the pie menu, then the avatar will be given to you and sent to your inventory. So from now one there's no need to ask me for an avatar, you can always get it yourself freely anytime you want. Given the fact they're freebies, you simply buy them for 0L$.

- Persistence of both clothing and attachments is also in now. From now one you don't have to reattach the avatar each time you log in, not even if the sim restarted, you just log in and you're wearing it like before just like nothing happened.
HOWEVER the avatar will detach and un-persist if you log or go into another sim due to the fact OS Kitsuhana runs on Local Assets! If you went to any other sim on OSGrid, you will then have to attach your avatar manually again when you return to OS-Kitsuhana since it wasn't usable in the other sim so it had to be removed.

These are the main highlights for now, but many new things may come soon. I'm tempted to make many buildings and avatars but given the fact there's no one having much interest in the sim so far I may do that more slowly.

Either way, for some less important highlights: Opensim got wind implemented a few days ago so you can finally see trees and some types of grass shaking to the wind rather then staying still. Many new LSL functions have also been implemented over the time too, with a few other new improvements and implementations. I also fixed a parcel setting which cut sounds from neighboring parcels on the sim... now all sounds can be heard correctly across the entire region. So I hope to see many of you in-world :)

Important update: Today I took a few hours to take better care of arranging my sims. I decided to switch Opensim Kitsuhana to Grid Assets too because running it on Local Assets on the grid was simply cruel. The reason I kept the sim on local assets was because I found it safer for me to be keeping the assets too (all textures, uploads, objects taken into inventory, etc). However that made them unusable anywhere outside the sim and also made things slower on my end.

Now that I transferred everything to Grid Assets and the sim functions on grid asset storage, all uploads are kept on the OSGrid server rather then my PC and you can use everything you build on other sims on OSGrid too. You can also make your avatar on another sim and use it in Kitsuhana like nothing happened. In other words, the days when avatars and buildings where only available in Opensim Kitsuhana and going to another sim detached them and made them unavailable are now over! Feel free to log into the sim, build something and play with it on the entire grid as well as bring stuff from other sims to KH. It's also possible now to make landmarks between KH and other regions on the grid and teleport between them without any problems.

Note however you will have to buy your avatars again from the vendors. Just go to the Avatar Bazaar there and get the avatars for free, only takes a second. This change should also improve some performance and bandwitch usage as my connection won't be stressed for sending the textures and all other stuff, just the primitives. I also noticed running grid assets causes the sim to crash less often then the old local ones so expect the sim to be more stable and fast from now one :)

In the last week I spent a lot of time trying to make something new for the sim and for other furries / otherkin which may be spending time around OSGrid. Today I finally managed to finish my new creation after many days of hard work; The 2nd kitsune avatar for OSGrid which is much more complex and visually improved then the first one. I tried to make it the quality of a 1000L$ LL-grid fox avatar (it is of course still free and open to take, copy, modify, etc). This new avatar comes in four colors and contains scripts for blinking eyes, eye coloring in four colors and twitching ears. You can pick it up from the Avatar Bazaar right next to the previous avatar's vendor. Attached a few pictures of the avatar to this post.

Alongside the avatar I decided to make a floating island above the shrine 350m in the air which can be reached through a teleporter, so feel free to go visit it whenever you want even though there is still stuff to build up there to make it more complete. Imageshacked 2 pictures of the island below too... should be a pretty nice and relaxing place overall Smiley

I'd really like to join in and poke people, but... It's not letting me change the path. Saying it's invalid. o-O I know I didn't break it..

This is the original Target line:

Quote
"C:\Program Files\SecondLife\SecondLife.exe" --channel "Second Life Release"

I tried changing it a few different ways to what you said and it won't go =\

Change it to this:

Code:
C:\Program Files\SecondLife\SecondLife.exe -loginuri http://osgrid.org:8002 -loginpage http://osgrid.org/loginscreen.php -helperuri http://osgrid.org/

If that doesn't work either there's always the Hippo Opensim Viewer which is a lightly modified SL client made for Opensim. It's much more useful and recommended for OSGrid and you can install it separately from the SL client too without affecting it in any way (for the Hippo viewer you just start it up normally without any modified shortcut as you select the OSGrid grid from Preferences -> Grids).

Is it really supposed to go into the Target box? Or am I missing something I needed to download? o_O

It says, without the quotation marks

Quote
The name 'C:\Program' specified in the Target box is not valid. Make sure the path and file name are correct.

With the quotation marks...

Quote
The name 'C:\Program Files\SecondLife\SecondLife.exe -loginuri http://osgrid.org:8002 -loginpage http://osgrid.org/loginscreen.php -helperuri http://osgrid.org/' specified in the Target box is not valid. Make sure the path and file name are correct.

The first time I had it come up, before I posted the first time, I double-checked your post... triple even, but I didn't see anything I missed o-O And I downloaded SL a few days ago and installed it O-o...

That's weird... try it like this then (and yes it is the Target field):

Code:
"C:\Program Files\SecondLife\SecondLife.exe" -loginuri http://osgrid.org:8002 -loginpage http://osgrid.org/loginscreen.php -helperuri http://osgrid.org/

Notice the " " over the path and before the -loginuri statement. Sometimes Windows wants it like that over shortcuts as this is a Windows issue.

If not just try the Hippo viewer really, it's very useful and has a grid selector inside its menus. It even allows megaprims to be sized normally to 256x256x256 instead of 10x10x10 (as Opensim has no prim limits) and other features :)
