Hello, I was pointed here by Samui-san because of my interest in Kitsune. I am, unfortunately, not spiritual by nature, but mainly interested in kitsune and other yokai. However, I read Fafnir's post and it reminded me of similar events happening to me.
Early on, in my childhood I had a dream, in it were two dragons, young ones, being slain, I remember crying from that upon waking. It may have been that I was a dragon, possibly a parent to the two others. Since then to about when I was 14 or 15 dragons were a part of my mind almost all the time. I dreamt of them, I drew them, I read about them every chance I got.
Then, as I reached the aformentioned age above, it slowly shifted to kitsune, although I never heard of kitsune back then. It was pretty much the same as with dragons. Except, the kitsune I drew had an unusual trait as far as I know... they had wings. They were black-furred with black, yellow-tipped wings. I eventually started to draw other variations of kitsune, each one possessing a different elemental property, as well as depicting them sharing the same realms in the universe as the dragons.
It was but a few years ago, about 2001 or so, that I saw the anime Inuyasha, which was the first thing that led me to know about kitsune. It was this that prompted me to search for information on kitsune and, ultimately, yokai. I have found some information but, I don't think the information I have is complete. I'm currently only trying to find more information on kitsune and other yokai. If you have any information or know any links it would be nice if you could tell me.
Currently this site is a little to deep for me I'm afraid and if you could help me understand this a little better and approve of me, then I may decide to join.
Well, I shall return here sometime later to see if there are any responses, goodbye.

How much into spiritual and certain beliefs you are doesn't always have to do with what you are as a spirit. You may be a kitsune, or just someone attracted to them for certain reasons which may be interesting to find out over time. Anyway, rather that you are one or just interested, you're very welcome here
Not sure what else to say now so yeah.

That's actually really interesting. I went through the exact same thing.
At first I assumed the wings were gifts from someone, but then I discarded that the "wings" I felt (which were in fact dragon wings, or extremely large bat wings at the least) were because I was concentrating my energy on those places to form wings.

Beyond that, I do not know if you've already seen this one, but here you go.

I'm sure no one will actively disagree with you being here, and personally, I'd like you to stay. I'd like to talk to you for a bit.

Make a bookmark / favorite somewhere in your browser, yes, and when you look through it you'll remember and find it easily. Or just note it somewhere, I keep lots of txt files with notes around

i would just like to note that foxtrot's guide is more useful for roleplaying, and not an accurate source of information.

Samui's right, besides, Lahaise really only used one source, you'd be better off just reading that:
http://delathehooda.com/kitsune
It's a ~30MB PDF, just for a heads-up, as PDFs can be annoying sometimes.

I remember a similar dream.... i was a young fox who was running across a field.... i found a mate and settled down with her and had some kits. (thats right isnt it?) then, i woke up..
it was very realistic, and i woke up feeling warm and happy.
at the time i attributed it to watching a movie (i believe it was "The Fox and the Hound")
but reading this, im reconsidering
