It's basically the hierarchal system of Myobu serving under Inari, closely related to the courts in feudal Japan- not being "courts" as in modern judge and jury courts, but comparable to the aristocracy of medieval europe.
As for how they actually work and are organized, how decisions are made and what exactly their role is, I haven't the faintest clue.

I was looking up as I was walking home and just realized how...
huge
everything is, everything but us, we're so small. But yet... I could almost feel it, the spark of life, the thread of fate, a bit of electric sizzle in the stars. I was reminded of death, and thereby of life. I felt
alive
. I think maybe, if I can just feel that for a moment every now and then, anything else that happens to me is O.K.

truthfully it goes deeper then that. Ther are the Magical Councils, The Demonic courts, THe planes of existance and the hierarchy that ruels them, the angelic courts, and the Arch and Grandmaster class Courts of fifteen. If you have specific question I'd be happy to answer them Sirus-san

....I would think it silly to separate kami so plainly like that, and would think the "magical court" to be moot, considering all kami can use some form of energywork. Secondly, unless you're referring to Oni and Tengu, there's no specific "demonic court", especially since they're kami like the rest of us. If you mean the Grand Courts by angelic, then okay, that works. If you mean anything else, I have to warn you, there's no such thing. Finally, there are more than Fifteen courts for the Gods and their family. A lot of what you are saying sounds, in so many ways, like you took bits and pieces of my faith and slapped them over a D&D board. Please stick to original terminology and simplify it only when asked.

I am sorry if you find my information scewed but the Gods court is seprate from the others. THe denomic and angelic courts refer to lower creatures that are not kami but still work with magick. All of these courts are as thus. THe grandmaster courts refers to those who are not Kami but still have reached a point of control that excedes all other magical creatures. THe denomic and angelic refers to the way the individuals uses their energy work. NOT their status.

pardon, but I understood absolutely nothing of what that means. It literally makes zero sense in my brain.

Lets me see if I can explain this better. Humans who use magick and the other creatures that do aswell have a ruling court system. These courts are split up into subsections or devisions. For example, if you take a Human that uses their energy strictly for dark purposes they are thus part of the denomic court. Where as if you take a human that uses their magick for healing purposes they are tus part of the Angelic court. Their are many other courts and councils that govern specific magickal uses as it were but i'm not going to list them all. However where the grandmaster and the Arch courts are involved is more of a political descussion like the UN. There is a member from each of the magical clasification in these courts that decuss and decide on the right/RUles all courts must abide by. Even though each court in its self can still make their own rules. Let me give an example. Lets say the arch council (the court used to govern the magickal councils) desides that Fire use is thus limited. This is then a law that everyone must abide by. However, the Pyro council can still decide how limited it is for those that fall under that specific catagory. Understand?

I would think that divine courts would have less ambiguous names.
But I kinda get the gist of it now..I guess

First off Devine courts are very different from the Arch and the Grandmaster courts. As I stated in a previous post those are still for creatures that donot have devine status but are very good at what they do.

This does sound very likely and very possible and it's interesting to know, I can agree with all that you said here. I don't really understand however who actually makes such courts and why precisely. I mean isn't magic something people can deal with personally between one another over there? Why does something so ugly as courts and laws need to be put over something so beautiful as magic?
I'd like to know more. Are they also split between countries there or similar things each with their own law, or does each species have it's own court? And how does a law punish you exactly... you cannot be killed or permanently damaged by physical interaction astrally (such as dieing from getting stabbed or shot) though over there you can be tortured mentally and taken to a nightmare place.
I'm kind of used to having a horrific view on courts from this life, and I don't quite remember how things go on back there so it's kind of worrying me and I'd like to know what I'll find after this life is over for me. I was mainly thinking that outside of this world only small groups make local laws in their clans and such.

THe reason the courts and the councils exist is because there was a time when magick was left alone and not controled. However, Chaos over tok the order and everything went to shit. It was so terible that the entire plane was destroyed. This is why the courts were put into play. They limited how much you could use at what time and were. Now don't think of this as a punishment it really is a system that forces people to work harder to acomplish a cirten thing in magick. And by laws i don't mean that you go to jail for stealing kind of law. These laws are like gravity. you just can't make water fall up kind of thing. And yes each race has its own court or council, but most people are usually in 3-4 councils because of their abilities. Did that answer your question?

Yes it does, thank you very much. Yeah I'm usually worried because I dislike the no-magic limits a lot, so I find something like that a bit cruel. Then again it depends on each realm, as my theory is that you can go to many realms and each is led by someone who makes their own laws in it though I am still kind of unsure here.

I would like to take this time to state that pure chaos and pure order are both equally catastrophic, however a nice balance between the two is optimal and a very comfortable existance. This world, be it the work of the 'courts' or not, is too orderly. Some spice needs to be thrown in, a bit more trickery, a bit more spontaniosity, more fun more chaos, and less order and rules.
well...that's enough off topicing for me.

Thank you very much... this actually brought up a thing to me which I never thought about; Could this world be so led by evil today, and full of outrageous and ugly laws because there is "too much order"? Well my idea of a perfect world is one where there aren't laws (or at least not many) but neither does someone attack anyone else and kill and such. That can be hard though... but yeah I never thought till now that chaos could represent pure freedom in which everyone kills one another and does what they want while order is law and oppression to keep people pinned down to what a group decides. In case they are that, I can fully agree both can be fully horrible if any rules too much over the other.

That, my friend, would be why the veil is dropping. A bit more balance needs to be made, and things'll definitely get more chaotic once people learn how to use energy.
