Hey Shura,
I was much the same when I arrived, so don't be scared! Although I'm a wolf, I have learnt a lot here. I hope you find what you need here.

well, i guess i was a bit lacking on info with my last post, i don't interact with others much, i'm 15 and living with human parents who think anything inhuman is satanic, so basically i've gotta be incognito if i want to keep from getting grounded
the warm welcome is nice though, i appreciate it

Yep... most "normal people" think like that. Christians invented that belief out of evil, greed and discrimination, from what I know. I'm proud of you though (if its ok I say it like that as I just met you ^^) that you kept yourself separate from that belief, however.

Yes, happy new year to all of you, and I hope this year will be better and happier for everyone. And I'll love to answer your questions too, though in many situations I don't know the answers and a lot of things, so I may not be so helpful all the time.

Welcome to the boards. Out of curiosity, what in particular leads you to believe you are kitsune? The multiple tails?

exactly, not to mention the vivid yet frequent dreams of myself as a fox, in honesty, when i first saw the tails and no-one else could, i thought i was losing it, but after some extensive research i turned up here
i've also been in touch with alot of pyschic stuff, it always fascinated me, not sure if that has anything to do with being a kitsune though

Welcome, welcome! As long as your parents don't know where you're browsing, you should be okay with saying whatever you want here. You should probably explain why you think you are what you are (maybe under "Personal Experiences") - you seem to be gathering a mild amount of disbelief.

However, I will try to sound decently intelligent and to not pull stuff out of thin air. Do you care? Probably not, but sometimes I like disclaiming myself, even if it's unneccessary. I also like to ramble on about things a lot.[/size]

Welcome Shura! Bring on the questions! We'll all try to answer them. Hopefully you find what you're looking for here. Mind you, some of the regulars here are wary of posers, as you can see with Salem and Reiko, not that I blame them. But they mean well. But I'm new here too, and there are things we can learn from each other, I'm sure.
In particular, I've always found interesting the philosophies that are often attached to color. Why a red kitsune? does red mean anything special to you, or is that just how you see yourself in your dreams?

Yes!! But remember to let
yourself
influence your beliefs, and don't be afraid of change if it comes from within. Allow your mind to judge what you hear and observe, and not your memes.

btw, how long do kitsune live, i was wondering about that
The usual number given is 1000 years. It will help answer many of your questions, I'm sure, if you go through the usual web links for kitsune, including research, traditional lore, and books. They are on this board somewhere, but for convenience, the ones I've got bookmarked:
academia.issendai
kitsune.org
Ping Yao Zhuan
A translated chinese novel from the Ming dynasty.
http://http://www.comnet.ca/%7Efoxtrot/kitsune/
Foxtrot's kitsune lore page. Mind that some would tell you to take this particular source with a grain of salt, as I'm sure Salem is about to reiterate.
Also probably the most-referenced text about kitsune is
Kitsune: Japan's fox of Mystery, Romance & Humor
. It's been out of print for ages, and if you want a physical copy prepare to pay an arm and a leg or travel to find a library that has it. Luckily there's a PDF of it, scanned from the book. See
http://http://forums.kitsuhana.org/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=209

alive
. I think maybe, if I can just feel that for a moment every now and then, anything else that happens to me is O.K.

i always thought that red was a color of forgivness (more than likely from my christian upbringing) and, when i was a kid i was picked on and held grudges alot, maybe my dreams are telling me it's time to live and let be? just a thought

everyone is entitled to thier beliefs, i understand if they're cautious about me,what matters is that i
myself
believe i'm a kitsune
