Music is extremely important to me as well. It can change my emotions and it's extremely good for feeding. The right song can energize me even better than caffeine lol.
My hearing has always been waaay too good in my honest opinion. It's so bad that sometimes little sounds around my room or a TV in the room a few doors down from me can keep me up at all night  fox_thoughtful lol And certain sounds (like chiming, my budgies (parakeets) singing and certain ringtones) can send me into a itching fit! XD
It won't last though... I have issues with my ears that might make me loose my hearing in a couple of decades.  Sad

Oh man, I know exactly what you mean. Music can effect my mood and make me feel things, and I like to to this thing I call "diving" where I choose an instrument and block out all the rest, following only that sound.

I have done this since I was a kid, I just never named it anything.

It is also fun to play music in your head without any device, try "listening" to an old favorite tune anytime, anywhere! You can also do this with speech, and remember the exact way someone said something.

I recently returned from Disney (today) and while I was at Epcot I purchased a CD with meditation music on it in Japan. It is called the Samurai Collection and has several songs from a set of CDs including Japanese drum percussions and prayer music.

I feel so wonderful listening to it. It lets me groove and makes me want to work hard.

    Especially this on. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TvayqjGJodc

Based on what I've read in this thread, I guess you guys wouldn't mind me posting my mixes here.  Wink

I'll start a thread somewhere soon. For now, you can browse the directory at http://ocularraindrop.net/SwooshyCueb/ however that is only a small bit of my work.

Not a fox by any means, but I do love some well-crafted audio. Wasn't always like that for me either, when I was a kid, I hated music. I think it just took finding the right kinds.

Oh, speaking of, I actually *make* music digitally. http://www.furaffinity.net/gallery/ziya
I'd recommend giving a listen to a few of my tracks, especially if you're into things like ambient, soundscapes, that sort of stuff. Or if you just want something different.

Yes, this guy makes some REALLY good stuff. I know it doesn't really mean much coming from his boyfriend, but just give it a listen. I'm sure you'll find something you enjoy!

Azn It's kind of interesting to "know" someone who makes their own music, or, you know, be on the same forum...

I *do* use Skype! If you use it too you could get to know me, so it'd not just be knowing someone who makes music on the same forum, it'd be knowing someone who makes music period. x3

Hmmm, I myself like ambient sounds. Anything that fits with and creates a friendly atmosphere is a sound I cherish. Once, a classmate played some music laced with metal overtones and it did not create any disturbance to the energy in the room, it added to it.

Though I'm not sure how relevant my post is to this topic, as I don't really know whether or not I am a kitsune....  (l.l)

I don't think my music really qualifies as rave music. I'll work on it, though!

Music has been very important to me my entire life.  Heck to an extent i'm obsessed with music.  I play four instruments, sing, and I prefer to always be listening to music if I'm at home or at work.

    So yea.
Though I prefer orchestral songs if possible, though it may be due to being primarily a violinist.

Music is one of the most important parts of my life, it can't change my mood, I will only listen to music that suits my mood, but I definitely feel like I draw some kind of energy from it. I mostly like metal, things with a voice and emotion.
