    Hello, everyone.
I am human. I know this, and I do not find it uncomfortable in the least. But, I remember and feel that I am something else.
One day I remembered (how else does one call a sudden realization like that?) having a body somewhat like a fox's, with several tails, and belonging to a culture, to a place, that could not exist here on Earth. Based on my memories, I decided that I was some strange alien otherkin. Later on, I found the term for what I was, and in some ways still am. I was glad that Earthly mythology, at least, had some mention of those like me. But, I ran across some people that convinced me seeking other kitsune was a stupid idea. For a time, I talked with otherkin that were of a different nature from myself. That ended when I found myself breaking a promise I made to a friend, driving them out of my life (you won't find me discussing this unless you've earned my trust, so sorry if you wanted details).
Since then, I've avoided otherkin communities online and off. But, recently, a friend of mine, a dragon otherkin, suggested that I seek others like myself, and proved to me that not every kitsune is an otaku-kin of some sort by providing a link to this forum. Though I have been otherkin for the last twelve years, I do not know much about my own family of beings, apart from memories, legends, and a few scattered wikipedia articles, so please forgive me if I do not keep up with every conversation or make mistakes.
Do ask whatever you feel is proper, and I will try to answer. Unless I told you I won't discuss it up above, I am willing to chat about it.

Welcome to Kitsuhana! I am finding this place to be a very nice home. We aren't as active as we used to be, but there are a few of us around still :P

Lol, that's true.. Mention a specific "word" in the shoutbox (like last time) and quite a number of foxes come back again.

I'm not that chill with teh maths, but I am geeky enough to enjoy that joke! lulz

Anywho, greetings Moment. You haven't really revealed much of yourself yet, so it's a bit hard to be more personable... It'll be interesting to see you around. And your dragon friend was correct. Not everyone is a "pretender/faker/wannabe/furry/otakukin/any other word you want to use here in a negative fashion".

Although, you should really lick a salt wheel for that. I mean, it's not like there's such a thing as proving anything to anyone, especially this sort of thing. Honestly, why be so suspicious/skeptical of people/non-people? I mean if they're just lying how does that really affect you? (Unless you're close or otherwise involved with said person in question, then that changes things). That's pretty much my outlook here. Might be doubtful of certain claims, but I'm too lazy to get into a huge thing about it. Not worth it at all. Either it's real and I was wrong and or whatever it is/was is unreal and I was right. An ounce of reservations and "I-don't-care" really nifty here. Nice thing about acquaintances if they don't have much power to affect you, unlike friends/lovers/etc.

If that was a bit ranty, my apologizes.

    It's good ya joined.

When referring to me, feel free to shorten my name to "Val". It gives off a sense of a certain casualness indicating closeness and a warm fuzzy blanket of familiarity envelops me.

Ps. It's not "Valerie". No "i" please. If you add an "i" I get a strong urge to stab you in the left eye, rip it out completely then play with it. If you do not have a left eye, I can settle for the right one.

Unlike most of the others here who are still active (Being mainly Kitsunes) I'm sorta in the mix of Dragon/fox fox_okay Hope that you find Kitsuhana as much of a home to me and the others have also, and that you find a lot of the topics helpful to you. Smiley

As to everyone else I'm gonna be hopping back into posting a few things up too, been lurking but never gone from here. Just trying to sort out some of life's problems. :P
