Hello. I came here seeking knowledge, and with hopes of giving the knowledge that I have (If it be true). In honesty, I am not sure how to back up my claims. All that I have to offer is my word, and my personal experience. I will start from the beginning, when I first understood how I felt that "Kitsune" applied to me.

When I was a child, I was very different from the other ones. I tended to go off and play on my own, with little to no care what any one else did. I was born very quiet, and I did not make any noise until I was three years old. The doctors suspected that something might have been wrong with me, but I appeared to turn out somewhat decent (this previous sentence is true but worded to make my introduction a little bit more on a lighter side). As the years progressed, I became suspiciously obsessed with anything that related to foxes. I drew them often, I made non-human vocal sounds to imitate them.

Everything between then and to a recent chapter in my life remained relatively the same. When I was 16, the dreams started. Highly vivid dreams of places, events, people. Dreams so vivid that I had difficulty at times telling the difference between dream and reality. Not too long after that, I met some one who was named Sandra. in the later part of my 16th year, I first heard of the word "Kitsune". She helped me to learn things about myself.

Not long after that, I began to notice oddities in my surrounding environment. The most notable thing was my color vision. I realized I was referencing colors that other people around me could not identify with. I noticed these colors appeared like neon gasses surrounding people, animals, plants, and other living matter. I noticed them in other places as well, but that is for a later discussion.

I also developed the ability to tell who is about to call the house phone, a good few minuets before the phone even rings. I will sometimes voice other people's thoughts, weather they relate to the current topic or not (for instance, I will be in a discussion about aerodynamics, and suddenly i will say something like "peanut butter toast with pecans" and some one in my area will admit to have been thinking of that right when I said it) I cannot control it.

I had finally publicly identified myself as Kitsune at age 18. Shortly after, I began to have memories; memories that are not of this lifetime. For some time, I thought that they might have been the creations of an overactive imagination. When I started working at my recent job, I found three coworkers who could relate. One of them shared some of my "memories", but from a different perspective. Weather they are all real or not is still debatable, it is a part of the reason that I am here.

When another coworker learned about my being a Kitsune, she revealed herself to be an "Ookami" and began to tell me more things about the past, that I already had flashbacks of. She spoke of a great war between the Kitsune and Ookami. I thought she might have been playing around, until she tried to murder me (Sometimes I wish I was telling a fabrication of the truth, the things I have seen and experienced, I wish to take back most of it and pretend it never happened).

After my near-murder, I realized that I was somewhat alone as a Kitsune. I am now 20 years, and I have spent the past 4 years of my life searching for other Kitsunes, the past 2 years being a more aggressive search. I have learned well the benefits, and detriments, of being Kitsune. I would like to learn what of my knowledge is truth, and what is false. I would also like to be able to make an addition to the collective knowledge of this site.

    I am Arishi, truth seeker.

     Shocked
    Tried to murder you?
That sounds a bit extreme... mind elaborating?

*hugs* Well thank you very much :3

She tried to murder me by locking me in the bathroom, then set it on fire. It was a rather elaborate trap, though poorly executed. I luckily managed to escape by breaking down the door (not entirely sure how I did that to be honest). There was an FBI investigation into it, but they couldn't find the culprit. she admitted to doing it to me, and "what a shame you managed to escape."

Thankfully, she has moved on to other places, and other people to torment.

I continue to find myself rather lonely here in my area as a Kitsune, and I am indeed very thankful to be here. I would like to consider this a home.

*hugs you as well* sorry for the not-posting Arishi. That's horrible what happened to you! :<

As for calling this place a home... I can't now say it is, as it's not my primary communication with other kitsune. though this place was instrumental in helping me find one for myself, and I still come back often. ^^

I hope you can call this place home, until or unless you ever find a better one. ^^

I see. Well, dunno what really to make of you yet, but welcome to the forums. I think you'd be interesting to speak with.

As for some of the things you mentioned... dreams of a past life, being distant or unconcerned with others, mildly developed sense of intuition, or seeing auras does not mean you're a kitsune necessarily. This may be while you feel this way, but to attempting to prove anything to anyone is meaningless, impossible and a waste of time really.

It is extremely strange and suspect that you managed to find three coworkers who were like that as well. Perhaps that's just me being a bit envious though.

As for any sort of "wars" between kitsune and ookami, I'm afraid I can't comment one way or another on that because I have experienced no such thing either way as far as I am aware. It strikes me a bit like the underworld movies with vampires vs werewolves... But, I am not one with too much experience with these sorts of things with fellow kitsune or ookami. My life had different non-human species in it.

I hope I didn't come across too unfriendly or disbelieving. Honestly, I'm not challenging your claim in regards to your identity. Mostly because it really doesn't matter one way or the other to me.

A pleasure to make your acquaintance Arishi.

When referring to me, feel free to shorten my name to "Val". It gives off a sense of a certain casualness indicating closeness and a warm fuzzy blanket of familiarity envelops me.

Ps. It's not "Valerie". No "i" please. If you add an "i" I get a strong urge to stab you in the left eye, rip it out completely then play with it. If you do not have a left eye, I can settle for the right one.

If it helps, I promise not to lock you in the bathroom and subsequently set it on fire for the remainder of this year.

    Welcome!

Lol I greatly appreciate it. I hear Kitsunes have an attachment to fire, but being a roasted fox I'm sure was not intended :p
