Hmm yeah, did you notice every second windows version is like one big joke lately?
First ME, then Vista, now 8.
I'll continue skipping, thank you very much.
Skipped from XP to 7, and am going to skip straight on to whatever comes after 8, but that's probably after the next End of World anyway.
     :P
Speaking of which, do you think an "End of World" is like a big cosmic "End of Line"?

I still like XP, not so much for games, but it is very fast on new hardware (assuming you can find drivers).

And I am trying to convert to Ubuntu, but I just can't get rid of some old windows programs that need XP. Of course those programs don't work in Windows Vista or 7 either!

Windows 8 looks like Windows 7 with an awful UI, I agree that we should keep skipping the odd ones!

I can use DOSBOX in ubuntu for the old dos programs, the problem programs were made in the late Windows 3.1 era to the Windows ME era (3.1, 95, 98, 98se, and ME)

Some of those old programs don't work in WINE and the Windows 7 XP emulator can't seem to run them properly either. XP seems to run them fine however, with minor graphics issues.

The windows 7 xp mode is just a premade unconfigurable virtual box anyways..

Wine can run most things, only after a huge amount of configuration and workarounds though..

On older pc's (< 4 GB ram) XP still beats windows 7 in games though..

Might get windows 8 if i can still get it for free under a student license msdnaa, even though i'm no longer a student :P

Whoever thought it was a good idea to port a phone OS to a desktop environment should be shod in concrete.

I was looking up as I was walking home and just realized how... huge everything is, everything but us, we're so small. But yet... I could almost feel it, the spark of life, the thread of fate, a bit of electric sizzle in the stars. I was reminded of death, and thereby of life. I felt alive. I think maybe, if I can just feel that for a moment every now and then, anything else that happens to me is O.K.

It would be great if the program would be called Firefox instead of nightly and have the firefox icon instead of a night side view of the earth :'(
