    Yes we got hacked, apparently Caledon's account was somehow exploited to remove me as forum administrator, which I got to admit was funny, they must not think I have root access or something.
    Yes we have been getting a crapload of spam.  I signed up for this nice thing at stopforumspam.org which flags spammers as they are registering, and wont even let them register.   Also its nice that it prevents us (the mods and admins) from being spammed with 'omg this person registered' for every spammer who wants to bug us.

    Additionally I upgraded the forum to SMF 1.1.13, which is the latest in the 1 series.  I don't think we're going to 2.0 because I dont want to risk compatibility issues.

    Hopefully the den is nice and secured now.

    You weren't the only one de-adminned. Also, there are no compatibility issues between 1.1.x and 2.0 that I know of. You don't have any mods installed that are exclusive to this version.
