I'm posting in here to clarify that, in addition to trying to find out about myself and kitsune... have someone here that has found himself to be a dragon since seven years ago.

I... guess... people could ask questions to get this board started on this section?

I don't know about past lives though... and... the only other thing I could think to state is I can't breathe fire.

Well, as I have said, I had a dream where I turned into a dragon. That dragon is what I see myself as... I've done art of it, but until such request to see that, I'll keep off the links so that I'm not "advertising". (Cautionary measure, nothing more.)

A description though is... well, at most I would be 6' tall standing. That is based on the matter that I assume the one other person in the dream is also 6' tall.
The main color I once just used black for... but... lately I've just used either a very dark purplish blue, or a dark muddy color.
The underside and along the ear edges would be yellow.
Webbing has been purple.
I honestly could not remember... but usually for the eyes I make them yellow or once a purple (but that was a small personal project of making an avatar on something), and then for my claws I make them black. Just... something I've done.

The build though is a western... just very slim. Quadruped but could possibly be a biped if wanted to.[/quote]

Well, like I already posted in a previous topic I think, since I was born till around the age of 13-14, I had an extremely strong bond to dragons, and each time I was thinking of them I got an amazing beautiful mystical feeling... used to have feelings for furs like kitsunes too but vague ones.

After that, all my feelings towards dragons disappeared, though I have a very strong tie to kitsunes now. Sometimes, I still feel something special but vaguely though deeply when I see pictures of dragons and think of them or hear about them.

So yeah, that's my story. Not sure about what happened and why I don't have it any more. I'd advice you to not leave one side (kitsune and dragon) for the other, and to stay with both and care for both of your sides as much. Except if you are unhappy with being one of them and are sure you want to change to only one of them and bury your other side like it happened to my dragon self (if I have or had one) over time. I would just choose to live with both now though. Sometimes I wonder how it would be like if I still had my dragon side... and what really happened to it

You know, that is so strange. I had it exactly the same!
I had such a strong bond towards dragons, actually feeling like one at times, until I was 11. Almost immedeately it was replaced with a love of wolves, so strong, like how dragons used to be. Where my scales were, I had fur.
I never thought about it until Taoki mentioned it in a different topic, but it does seem very draconic... in my case, anyhow. Any thoughts?

Amazing... so I'm not the only one it happed to I wonder why it happens for some of us to change like that or whatever happens at a certain age...

Well, I feel like the dragon has a strong presence on my mind in the way of I still am aware it's there... and... the kitsune is taking up my mental space because my brain is buzzing about it...

I... don't know what would happen, but I know the first time I tried to push the draconity away it eventually came back. It took a few years... and came back strong that time as well.

I heard it's not all that uncommon that someone would have multiple theriotypes though... so... I guess that's partially why no one is weirded out or thinking something is up that I feel like this.

Yes, I had a friend like that. Dragon+Panther. It seems dragon is very popular with double-sprecies. We came up with the phrase 'polymorph' to use freely, but I think that's too sci-fi. Whats the proper term? Anyone?

I had talked to a friend recently that I met over a year ago and haven't spoken with for... possibly nearly as long...

I guess we aren't supposed to talk about kitsune directly in these forums... but... when talking to the friend, I couldn't help but mention that as she said that I guess some dragons too have shape shifting qualities about them...?

This phenomenon is so common, that I have often wondered if there is a direct link. Does anyone else think that it seems like people are awakened through dragons? I know (counting on fingers) 8 people that have experienced this, and that's without even looking for them! It seems too much of a coincedence.... any thoughts?

Well, I just hear that many people out there consider themselves dragons... I don't know if people would consider it a stepping stone or what... I know to me that the dragon was just... first... and longest.

I wouldn't say though that thinking I'm dragon is a stage... currently. I've forced it away, it's come back... sometimes it seems to go for a while but then come back when I'm not thinking about it. Things like that.

Do you mean dragons as in a guide though...?

They could possibly be a guide in some cases, I never thought about that. I have no idea why it happens (feelings for dragons disappearing at a certain age) but I would like to know why.

My guess is that with time, that side of us could get buried so we don't sense it any more, though it is still there, and sooner or later it will probably come back.
